Riverside Art Museum
Located in the historic Mission Inn district of downtown Riverside, the Riverside Art Museum is housed in a 1929 building that was formerly a YWCA facility. The building was designed by Julia Morgan, a Hearst Castle and AIA Gold Medal-winning architect, and its distinctive architecture drew the attention of the Riverside Art Center in the 1960s. The building was purchased from the YWCA on July 5, 1967, and has since been a place for artists and art lovers to roam and experience the world of art quietly. The galleries offer many opportunities to learn and be inspired, with something to pique everyone's interests and challenge their perceptions of art. The Riverside Art Museum aims to integrate art into people's lives through engaging exhibits and quality art classes, fostering a lifelong love of the arts.
